主要从事动物学领域的脊椎动物多倍化基因组学和生物信息学研究。Reproduction and Breeding期刊编委。2010年获云南省自然科学一等奖；2016年获云南大学伍达观优秀教师奖二等奖；2016年入选云南省中青年学术技术后备人才；2017年获云南大学青年英才计划。

主要研究方向
1.多倍化物种基因组多样性，脊椎动物基因组多倍化及基因组学：鲤科鱼类、青藏高原特有鱼类的基因组学和转录组学；
2.特殊适应性鱼类的基因组演化，世界上最小鱼类Minifish基因组小型化及酸性适应机制的研究；
3.DNA结构和RNA调控功能相关的生物信息学。
